About Us
Rooted in Tradition, Open to the World
Nestled in the rolling hills of Barbote, Ilam, Nepal Village Homestay is more than just a place to stay — it’s a heartfelt legacy passed down through seven generations of love for the land, community, and culture.
Our story began with a simple ancestral house surrounded by tea gardens. Over time, that home blossomed into a haven for travelers — a space where strangers arrive and leave as family. What kept us rooted here, even when the city lights of Kathmandu called, was our unshakable bond with this soil, this sky, and these stories.
We didn’t just build a homestay — we opened up our way of life. Here, you’re not just a guest. You share meals cooked with love, listen to elders recount tales of yesteryears, and soak in sunrises that kiss tea fields awake. You cook with Ama, sip Tongba with new friends, explore hidden waterfalls, and laugh around warm fires.
💚 What We Believe In
- Community First – Every booking supports local farmers, artisans, and youth employment in our village.
- Sustainable Living – From solar lights to compost pits, we live in rhythm with nature.
- True Nepali Hospitality – We don’t serve guests. We welcome family.
“Come not to escape life, but to feel it — slowly, sincerely, and soulfully — in the heart of Ilam.”
